NEW YORK – The Seton Hall men’s and women’s track and field teams ran to eighth place finishes at the BIG EAST Indoor Championships on February 24. The Pirates crowned two individual and a pair of relay teams on the weekend, highlighted by senior Greg Gomes (Somerset, N.J.) who won his third straight 500-meter dash title.

Gomes broke his own meet record with a time of 1:01.02, and now looks ahead to defending his two-time IC4A Championship for the third time in two weeks.

Junior Alexandra McCoy (Goldsboro, N.C.) won the women’s 500-meter dash in 1:11.68 for her first individual BIG EAST title.
